ANNA CIPRIANI • DANCE TEAM DIRECTOR • CHOREOGRAPHER
Hi! I’m Anna Cipriani, and I’m so excited to be serving as Dance Junction’s Competition Team Director! Dance has been a part of my life since I was three years old, and this year marks my 11th year teaching at Dance Junction — I’ve been lucky enough to call DJ home since the very beginning! I graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual and Performing Arts with a concentration in Dance, where I studied dance technique, production, theory, and composition. During my time at Stonehill, I was a two-time finalist at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Competition with the Stonehill Dance Team, as well as a dancer and choreographer for the Stoneworks Dance Company. Throughout my career as a teacher and choreographer, my work has received high scores, special awards, and top placements at competitions. I am also a member of Dance Masters of New England Chapter 5 and continue my own dance education by attending classes and conferences taught by some of the industry’s leading educators and choreographers. Continuing to learn and grow as an educator is incredibly important to me, and I love being able to bring that knowledge and inspiration back to my dancers. As an educator, I believe some of the most important lessons dancers learn go far beyond the steps. I want my dancers to be confident, hardworking, supportive teammates who aren’t afraid to challenge themselves. I love creating an environment where dancers are pushed to reach their potential while still feeling supported, celebrated, and excited to come to class. Watching them grow not only as performers, but as people, is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Outside of the studio, my favorite role is being Mom to my two daughters, Francesca and Vivienne. I married my high school sweetheart four years ago, and there’s nothing I love more than spending time with my family. Give me a summer day with them by the ocean, surrounded by Cape Cod hydrangeas, or on a trip to the Mediterranean, and I’m a happy girl! I’m incredibly grateful that dance has been such a big part of my life, and even more grateful that I now get to share that love with the next generation of dancers at Dance Junction. I can’t wait for another amazing year with our DJ family!
COURTNEY KOSTOPOULOS • DANCE TEAM CHOREOGRAPHER
Courtney Kostopoulos has been passionate about dance since the age of five, when she began her training at North Shore Dance Academy. She continued to pursue her love of dance by attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City, where she studied Dance Theatre, before completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH, Courtney was a member of the university’s dance team and competed at the UDA National Competition for two years. She is currently entering her second season as an NBA dancer for the Boston Celtics, where she performs at home games and represents the organization at community and promotional events. Courtney is excited to share her experience with the next generation of dancers.
BAILEY PRESCOTT • DANCE TEAM CHOREOGRAPHER
Bailey grew up dancing in Peabody, MA and then continued her education and passion for dance at Dean College where she attained her Bachelors of dance with a specialization in education as well as an associates in psychology. Since graduating college, Bailey has been teaching and choreographing in a variety of styles for varying ages and levels. She continues to take class regularly to stay involved in the ever evolving dance world! Bailey is also certified by Acrobatic Arts and Progressing Ballet technique. Most recently Bailey is continuing her education and currently working towards achieving her degree to become a Physical Therapy Assistant where she hopes to combine her passion for dance, injury prevention and wellness.
